2023 Travel Team (Local, Regional*, National) Registrations:
What is the difference between the three levels – All teams practice a minimum of two days a week.
- National Level: These teams will play in and out of state. The July schedule has the team playing out of state mainly East of the Mississippi. Stealers For Life (SFL) covers this team if you are registered in SFL. You have to tryout for this team.
- Regional Level: NEW TEAM FOR 2023. These teams will play a mix of local and regional (Virginia and South Carolina) tournaments. The July schedule has the team playing in the NC, SC and VA areas. This team has an additional cost of $250.00, or $150.00 if you are in the CRC program. The team is a step up from the local level and the additional cost covers tournament registrations (higher cost) and coaching expenses (all coaches are volunteers).
- Local Level: These teams will play locally staying around the Triad Area. The July schedule is local. Stealers For Life (SFL) covers this team if you are registered in SFL. You have to tryout for this team.
If you register and then tryout for a national team but are a better fit for the local level or vice-versa, you will be placed on that team.

WHEN DO THE 292 MEETINGS START AND WHEN DO THEY END?
292 Meetings run this August – October. We wait until the July travel team season is over and we try to finish all meetings before high school ball begins in November.
WHAT IS THE 292 PROGRAM?
If you are unfamiliar with the 292 Program, you can use this LINK.
Coach R began the 292 Program in 2002-03 to help parents and players work through the college recruiting process. The college recruiting world is ever-changing, especially these days with NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) and transfer portal rules.
DO 7th GRADERS REALLY GET LOOKED AT BY COLLEGE COACHES:
The Winston-Salem Stealers have had four (4) players recruited by college coaches as early as the 7th grade. Two of those four were offered college scholarships in the 7th Grade. That is an exception to the norm, but that fact is a reason the 292 program offers advice and a plan for those beginning in the 7th grade.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND THE MEETING?
Many times, parents will schedule a meeting but won’t bring their daughters to the meeting. That is not a negative, but the meeting is about her future both in the Stealers program and beyond so players attending the meeting are encouraged.
HOW LONG ARE THE MEETINGS?
Meetings are 45 minutes in length and will be held, for the most part, at The Maddawg Center located at 900 East Mountain Street in Kernersville.
WHAT DO WE NEED TO DO PRIOR TO OR DURING THE MEETING:
Meeting participants are encouraged to fill out the form below ahead of their meeting.
WHAT WE WILL DISCUSS?
Meetings are used to discuss the current season, the next season and any future goals a participant has for playing college basketball.
WHAT IF WE HAVE MORE THAN ONE DAUGHTER PLAYING IN THE PROGRAM?
Those with siblings in the program need to schedule just one 45 minute block.
IS THERE A CHARGE TO SCHEDULE A MEETING?
Meetings are free of charge and are open to current Winston-Salem Stealers, Teach The Game or CRC participnats.
HOW DO WE SCHEDULE A MEETING?
Meeting dates and times will be posted below. You will need to email Hollie Bowers using hollieobowers@gmail.com to request a day and time from the list (to be) posted below.
Fall Dates and Times (BOLD with initials = slot is reserved):
All meetings have finished for the fall season.
