Teach The Game 2023 DI ID Summer Basketball Camp.
Winston-Salem Stealers Alums Callie Scheier, Elle Sutphin and Lauren Bevis, along with McKenzie Maier will hold a Division I Identification Basketball Camp for grades (rising 5th-12th) at the Maddawg Center.
The dates and times are:
- July 1: 3:00-5:00 (COMPLETED)
- July 13: 6:00-8:00
Camp will be held at The Maddawg Center located at 900 East Mountain Street, Building E, Kernersville, NC 27284.
Callie, Elle and Lauren all play Division I Basketball as does McKenzie.
Callie’s High Point University Team played in the NCAA Tournament in Mach of 2021 vs. UCONN following their Big South Conference Tournament Championship. Callie was named to the scholar athlete All-Conference team.
Elle won two ACC Championships at N.C. State before transferring to Davidson. At Davidson, she was second team All-Conference in 2023.
Lauren was runner-up for Player of the Year at Gardner-Webb after helping her team reach the NCAA Tournament in 2023. Lauren now plays for High Point University.
McKenzie is originally from Winston-Salem before moving to Colorado. McKenzie played at Wake Forest University before transferring to High Point University.
The goal of the camp is to help current players (Stealers and non-Stealers) understand the time, effort, skill, attitude and commitment it takes to play college at the Division I Level.
The camp will be limited to 28 participants.
- Cost is $30/session for Stealers For Life or $50.00 for both sessions for Stealers For Life.
- Cost is $35.00/session for non-Stealers For Life or $60.00 for both sessions for non-Stealers For Life (but a current program member).
- Cost is $40.00/Session for non-program members or $75.00 for both sessions.
