TTG – Video Program
The TTG Video Program, redesigned, resumes in April 2026.
BASKETBALL WORLD 2026:
- The world of college basketball has changed dramatically over the past 2-3 years.
- NIL and the transfer portal have doubled and tripled the work of college coaches, making it harder for high school players to get into the recruiting mix.
- College coaches are having to not only recruit their own current players to stay on their teams by outbidding other programs to keep them around, but than also decide how to replace graduating players. Do they do that through the transfer portal, do they go overseas to find players or do they recruit high school players.
- Each college program has a different philosophy on how they want to build out their roster.
TTG VIDEO PROGRAM PURPOSE:
- Because time is even more valuable at NCAA Certified Events, very few college coaches can spend their time watching the younger teams play. This is much different than the world of college recruiting 3-5 years ago.
- Also, because of the added option of the transfer portal, college coaches may overlook an older (10th-11th Grade) player.
- The TTG Video Program Purpose is to make sure our Winston-Salem Stealers players are not overlooked by giving them a chance, through video highlights, Coach Robinson’s evaluation and the TTG online profile link to at least be seen.
HOW IT OPERATES:
- 7-10 days following an NCAA Certified Event, Coach Robinson will compile his notes and pair that with video through BallerTV, Be The Beast or what ever video device used at the event and send one email to college coaches.
- Coach Robinson will clip different parts from various games during the weekends to show those in the TTG Video Program in their best light.
- Each player (or parent) will send Coach Robinson an updated list of college programs that the informational email needs to be sent to (college list can be entered HERE).
- Coach Robinson will then link your daughter’s latest video clips and a long with his updated evaluation from the previous NCAA Certified Event onto the each player’s TTG page.
RELATIONSHIPS AND MATH:
- Several of our players create an online graphic or highlight video that our program’s social media will share or repost for them.
- However, if you do the math, try and calculate how many players are at one single NCAA Certified Tournament, then multiply that number by ten or twelve at a minimum. Then say that, again at a minimum, 30% of the players across the country in that total number of certified event participants are also creating a graphic and posting video highlights, it is hard for a college coach to go one-by-one to sort through them all.
- College coaches, thus, by human nature, begin to ignore most if not all of the graphics and highlight videos because unfortunately many just show the good and hide the bad. That then lumps everyone in the same boat, so college coaches have to rely on their own eyes at NCAA Certified Events or from relationships with those who they have been able to trust over the years and / or understand clearly how the college recruiting world works.
- This is where our program has an advantage over hundreds of thousands of others. Read about that HERE.
- Through thirty plus years of coaching high school and club / AAU basketball, and nearly twenty plus years with USA Basketball and the WBCA, Coach Robinson has been able to form solid relationships across the basketball world. Thus, when he contacts a college coach, he is “just not another AAU coach, handler or parent” calling to say “I have got this kid…”. The college coaches know Coach Robinson is not calling just to be calling because they know he understands their time is valuable.
- Providing an inaccurate evaluation consistently to a college coach can ruin not only a relationship but the line of communication with that coach for a lifetime.
- The last thing you, as a parent wants, is for the college coach to say “Oh no, he or she is calling me again”. What you want them to say is “Hey, he or she is calling me (or contacting me), this is exciting as he or she always has someone that will fit”,
- You, as a parent, can definitely do the work yourself without the TTG Video Program, but you just get a little more instant credibility because of the past relationship that has been built.
CONNECTIVITY:
- Connectivity in our program is vital to your daughter’s success.
- Providing a start with the Winston-Salem Stealers for team practices and games, adding in the skill work through Teach The Game and the jump shooting Clinics (and other camps/Clincs), then applying those skills in local and regional tournaments which eventually builds towards national events.
- Bringing in the 292 program (click HERE) to provide some guidance throughout the college recruiting process and then adding the TTG Video Program to help introduce and / or confirm Coach Robinson’s evaluation to the college coach(es).
TIME AND HISTORY:
- As mentioned time is the key.
- College coaches don’t have the time to go through every video or graphic sent to them. They also don’t have the time to get to every game at an NCAA certified event and they certainly don’t have the time to sort through every game on BallerTV or something similar. They have their teams to coach, meeting during the day at school. and now the world of the aforementioned NIL and transfer portal to deal with.
- The TTG Video Program is to help save time and get our players, as we have done in the past, to the front of the line in their eyes.
- The Winston-Salem Stealers have helped over 200 girls go onto play ball in college built on development and then relationships (click HERE) or (click HERE)
COSTS:
- Regular cost is $250.00 / year to be in the TTG Video Program. This will cover video and evaluation sent to the college coach following the April NCAA Certified Event, May NCAA Certified Event, and both July Certified Events, plus one additional event in January to add any school highlights you want to be sent.
- The cost is discounted to $150.00 / year if your daughter is on a Winston-Salem Stealers team and / or in the Teach The Game (TTG) Program.
- If your daughter is currently in the TTG Video Program that was setup in September of 2025, she is all set for the program.
- However, anyone that wants to add additional TTG Video Program years to their daughter’s program can do so for $35/year meaning if she currently is a 9th grader, if you pay for her 10th-12th Grade years that would be an additional three years and that cost would $105.00 on top of the regular sign up cost. Normal cost of additional years if not paid all at once is $50.00 / year.

FAQ’s (Frequently Asked Questions):
- Can we see the finished product that is being sent to the college coaches each time? Answer: Yes.
- Can we add our own video clips? Answer: Yes.
- Do we get direct feedback from the college coach? Answer: No, but general feedback will be posted on your daughter’s TTG page from the colleges typically a week to ten days following an NCAA Certified Event and another week to ten days following the TTG Video Program submission.
- What if BallerTV, Be The Beast or another video streaming service is not available, how do you capture video? Answer: We have our own video recording device(s).
- Do you have multiple devices to record multiple teams playing on different courts at the same time? Answer: Yes, up to three devices currently. Older teams will take precedence over younger teams if we run into a situation with more than three teams playing at the same time.
- Why would you include video clips of my daughter maybe committing a turnover or missing a shot sometimes? Answer: The ability to show how she handles adversity is sometimes just as, if not more, important than when things are going good. Colleges need to know who they are investing their time and money on.
- Can we get additional months of video posts? Answer Yes. Here is that plan:
-
If you are in the 2026 TTG Video Program and want us to post a monthly video of your daughter on both our social media accounts and her profile page, the cost is $100.00.If you are already in the 2026 TTG Video Program, you get videos posted five times during the year: one in January, one in April, one in May, and two in July.If you want to add additional social media posts, once a month, from our program for February-March, June, and then August-December, that cost is $100.00.
