Winston-Salem Stealers Free Throw Fundraiser

The Winston-Salem Stealers enter their thirty-second year in 2026-27! In their first year, the Stealers held a free throw fundraiser to build a solid foundation for the organization. The Stealers are bringing back the fundraiser to help with practice and skills space for the many different programs the organization runs.
The way it works, a player, voluntarily, between now and October 31, 2026 can get one sponsor or multiple sponsors, individuals or businesses, who will contribute a minimum monetary amount of $0.50 or more ($1.00, $2.00, $5.00, etc…) if they would like for every free throw they make out of a set of fifty or a set of one hundred.
Each player can set up their own time and place to shoot their free throws. The Stealers just ask that you send a short video of the player introducing themselves, the sponsor name, and then them making a free throw. The video will then be posted on our social media accounts. The parent or guardian will keep a record of the free throws made, calculate the amount and send that in along with a check or money order to the organization. If the sponsor would like to use an electronic method instead, they would need to contact Coach Robinson.
The participants get the opportunity to work on their free throws while helping out the organization they play for; if the participants need a gym to shoot, there will be a set of dates and times posted online.
In 1996, the organization raised $2135.50 which helped pay for practice space, tournament fees and uniforms for our first two teams.
