Please see the information below on our organization’s new uniform policy.
2026 Season:
- The 2026 Winston-Salem Stealers participants will purchase their own uniform for 2026.
- Purchasing your own uniform will allow for the correct size to be ordered.
Cost – Three options:
- First option: The cost for the uniform will be $95.00 total for the jersey and top if ordered by October 1, 2025.
- You can change the size of the uniform by November 15, 2025 (Option1)
- Second option: The cost for the uniform will be $105.00 total for the jersey and top if ordered by December 1, 2025.
- You can change the size of the uniform by January 15, 2026.
- Third option: The cost for the uniform will be $110.00 total for the jersey and top if ordered by February 1, 2026.
- You cannot change the size of the uniform for option #3.
Note: The uniform cost is separate from the 2026 Season Registration for non-Stealers For Life members. The 2026 Season Registration won’t be available until mid-fall (late September , early October). If you are in Stealers For Life (SFL), you will just pay the 2026 uniform cost. Non-SFL will pay the 2026 registration fee and the uniform cost (see FAQ’s below about the uniform purchase).
Style:
- The entire program will have the same style jersey. The jersey will be similar to ones our national teams wore in 2024 and 2025.
- Note: Those who are ordering the 30th Anniversary uniform (CLICK HERE) will not have to order a jersey for 2026 as that jersey will be the one they will wear for the season.
- The 30th Anniversary uniforms will have a special decal on them while the regular jersey, being the same style / design, will not.
- Names on the front of back of the jersey will not be permitted.
- Sponsorship names on the jersey have to be approved by the organization
Uniform Numbers Allowed:
- To stay within the rules and regulations of most basketball tournaments that we attend, the following jersey numbers are allowed: 0, 00, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 40, 41,, 42, 43, 44, 45, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55.
- These numbers are what referees can use to signal with one hand a foul, for example: “Foul on 1 – 5” which is “15”. Referees tend to have a harder time when the uniform has a 6, 7, 8 or 9 in it. There may be a foul on #9 and the referee holds up “4 and 5” on their hands. The scorebook folks may think the foul was on #45 instead of #9.
- Yes, some programs allow for numbers 6, 7, 8, and 9 and yes, in international play those numbers are allowed. We try to reduce the confusion as we are not always dealing with professional scorebook keepers at our games who sometimes are not paying attention to detail.
30th Anniversary Jersey:
- The 30th Anniversary jersey is discounted at a price of $80.00 for the first 30 to purchase one. After 30 are purchased, the cost goes to $110.00.
Uniform Buy Back:
- The Stealers organization has the option to buy back your 2026 jersey if you decide not to return to the program following the spring, summer or fall season. You are not required to sell the jersey back to the organization as it is your jersey.
- The uniform has to be in good condition and the most the program will offer is 40% of the cost you paid for the uniform if returned within a week of the season; the amount will then reduce by 10% per week if the uniform is not returned. Example: You decide to return the uniform eight days or two weeks after the end of the first week of the season’s final game, you will be offered a maximum of 30% back, and so on and so on.
- Uniforms that are damaged will have to be examined by the Stealers Board of Directors to decide on how much will be offered
FAQ’s:
- What if two players on the same want the same number? Answer: We won’t hold tryouts until January for the 4th-6th grade teams and until February for the 7th-8th grade teams. Once teams are selected, if there are two players wanting the same number, the player who has been in the program the longest will receive the priority. On the uniform registration form below, players are asked to send in three uniform number choices.
- What about the current 2025 jerseys we have? Answer: If you return your current jersey at the end of the fall or winter season, depending on if you are joining the YRATT (CLICK HERE), your 2026 uniform purchase will be discounted by 15% OR you can use the return credit to attend future camp or clinic hosted by our organization (i.e. Ganon Baker, Kelsey Plum, or something similar).
- Note on FAQ #2: Answer: If planning to play in 2026 and going to return your jersey, your cost if paying before October 1st, your cost will be $80.75. If you decide to pay between October 2, 2025 and December 1, 2025 and return your jersey, your cost will be $89.25. If you decide to return the 2025 and pay between December 2, 2025 and February 1, 2026, your cost will be $93.50.
- Note: If you pay using the “return discount” but then don’t return the 2025 jersey, the 2026 uniform will be $110.00 no matter the date you pay the “return discount” price.
- What if my daughter is a senior this fall? Can we purchase the jersey as a keepsake? Answer: Yes, that cost is $50.00. If you don’t want to purchase the uniform, she will need to return the jersey following her final game this fall.
- What if my daughter plans on playing in 2026, but we don’t want to purchase a uniform, what happens then? Answer: She will have to wear a uniform from what we have in our inventory. The uniform, assuming we have enough in stock, will be the same style or similar in style and there will be a uniform rental fee of $120.00 for the season. The 15% return option will be part of the rental, meaning you will $18.00 back for the return of the uniform at the end of the season.
- What if we register for the 2026 season and pay for a uniform, then my daughter decides not to play. Answer: The same season refund rule is in play for 2026 that we have had since 2021. You can request a season refund (not uniform refund) up until the teams are posted. Once the teams are posted for your daughter’s group / team, no refunds are allowed. The reason, which will be explained in detail in the 2026 parent video and on the 2026 registration page, is some folks wait until the teams are selected before deciding if they want to play or not. If they don’t like the team their daughter is on, they quit, ask for a refund and wind up messing up our team rosters. If she quits after the teams are posted, then no refund is allowed. The uniform that has been paid for then goes to the “Uniform Buy Back” policy posted above.
- Will we have to purchase a new uniform each year? Answer: Only if she outgrows the one you originally purchased.
- Will you change the style each season? Answer: We anticipate changing styles every 2 to 3 years.
- Who do I contact about the style, size, and jersey number request if I have questions? Answer: Fill out the form below and your response will be recorded. If you have specific questions about the uniform, please contact Laurie Mulqueeny at mulqueeny31@gmail.com. All other questions can go to coachrobinson292@gmail.com.
